I am Senior Lecturer in English and American literature at the University of Sussex. I specialize in American literature since 1880 and the theory of minor knowledges. My book Experimental: American Literature and the Aesthetics of Knowledge was published by Johns Hopkins University Press in 2019. My research areas include history of science, poetics, gender and sexuality, childhood, media, and visual culture. I have previously taught at Yale University, Emory University, and the University of California, Berkeley.
